Fake is the new F-word

As I watch the Clinton / Obama battle unfold, I realized that the value of honesty is moving up in the world. With all her experience in office and the belief that most Democrats have in the Clintons, it is Hillary's fake smile and well-honed image that might be her downfall.

It proves that being honest is more and more important. As tough as it might be, that means we all have to continue exposing more and more of our true selves. We have to show people our more personal sides; we have to be more vulnerable. Today, the people are demanding authenticity from our leaders. Tomorrow, we'll be asking it of each other.

While writing this, I found my own demons knocking at my door. They were screaming from different corners of my mind: "Too much Information!" "People don't want to hear that!" and, at the same time, "They want the truth!" "Just be honest!"

So what do you think? Honesty or Status Quo?
